Church Bylaws
1. Board of Directors are made up of the Officers as well as the Pastor and will have full authority over the Church and all events being or falling under the name of "Open Arms Outreach Ministries". All events working or coming from within must have the approval of the Board of Directors prior to using the name for any purpose. Including but not limited to the functions of any group of individuals who are grouped within their own government. This includes any youth or adult group, single plan or group activity.
Understanding that other groups are more than capable of making decisions and also understanding that we are one before God, we must set guidelines for dealing with future attacks from Satan and errors from within.
2. Membership is acceptable through movement of Letter of Faith form any other "Christian" church. Membership is also allowed through Baptism. Any other forms of joining must be approved by Pastor. Even with meeting this criteria, a majority vote must be in place to obtain membership.
3. Any member missing 4 weeks of services will be dropped from membership status, but would be welcomed regardless of their standing with the Church. Church Officers will be replaced by the Board of Directors with the missing of 3 weeks of services. Either situation with reasonable excuse may be approved by the pastor to continue in good standing at the Pastors discretion. A person sending any form of resignation to either the pastor or any member of the Board of Directors of the Church office must have approval of both pastor and Board of Directors to be reinstated. Any form of resignation will be accepted. We just don't have time for temper tantrums. You quit your done.
4. The Board of Directors has the right to change the By-Laws as necessary as they see fit to protect the interests of the Church or protect it against any form of attack, from within or from the outside.
5. This Mission shall now and forever remain a Non-Profit organization, we are not here to make a profit, but to serve God.
6. Teachers, leaders, helpers or anyone else dealing with the youth, (any age) in teaching or supervision or having the opportunity to be with the young not excluding the teaching of the adults must have the approval of the Pastor and the Church will reserve the right to have a background check on anyone. Membership is required for specific jobs including the helping with the nursery or becoming a head teacher for any group. No-Exceptions, we can't afford to take any chances with our babies or anyone else's.
7. Confrontations within the Church will be settled by the Pastor and or the Board of Directors, either will possess the right to settle differences of opinion in the running of the Church or anything pertaining to the operation of the Church.
8. Church Doctrine is non-negotiable, persons teaching will teach the accepted doctrine listed on the OpenArmOutreachMinistries.com website. This is the ONLY doctrine to be taught, other doctrines may be taught somewhere else, but will not be tolerated here. Any doctrinal questions should be directed to Pastor Rodney Luffman as Senior Pastor in charge, he will have final authority of rightly dividing the Word of God.
9. Donations to Church become property of Church. This should be a common sense thought, but in the event we have those who come and later decide to pull out of fellowship with the organization any thing donated by said party becomes property of Church. Items reclaimed by donor must be approved by Board of Directors.
10. All are welcome to worship with us regardless of race, nationality, prior denomination, sexual preference or present status with their home Church.
11. Church Sanctuary will be respected; profanity, fighting, temper tantrums, being disrespectful in general will not be tolerated. Sanctuary in this case will be described as the Church building and grounds. Also included will be the grounds of any activity the name Open Arms Outreach Ministries is involved with.
12. Clothing shall be warn age appropriate to all members and visitors, no two piece bathing suites will be worn by any female persons over the age of 10 at any event on Church grounds or any Church activity. All males on Church grounds shall wear shirts at all times on Church grounds and an age appropriate covering at any Church event. No excessive cleavage shall be shown. We will be respectful of God's property.
